Development of Women in Sport

The programme does this by ensuring that sports facilities are women-friendly and that sports events held and project funded make an effort to include women. One of the current projects of the Women in Sport Programme aims at the revival of netball, particularly in township areas. The programme exists all over the Western Cape in areas such as Heideveld, Khayelitsha, Piketberg, Porterville, Zoar and Kannaland.
