Cape Town District Office
DESCRIPTION:

The Cape Town District Office offers a range of social-work and development services for:

  • Children (e.g. child protection, school readiness)
  • Young adults (e.g. training, job placement, help when in trouble with the law)
  • Victims of violence (e.g. help for rape survivors and victims of crime)
  • The elderly (e.g. integration programmes and frail care)
  • The homeless (e.g. shelters and integration programmes)
  • Substance abusers (e.g. treatment and counselling services)

Grants
The District Offices are also home to the South African Social Security Agency, where you can apply for any social grant (child support, foster child, care dependency, old age, disability, war veterans, grant-in-aid).
