Breaking New Ground (BNG)
These government houses, previously known as RDP (Reconstruction and Development Programme) houses are built for low income households who would otherwise not be able to afford a house of their own.

People's Housing Process (PHP)
A programme of the Department that is aimed at allowing more active involvement of housing beneficiaries with the goal of inculcating a sense of ownership, rights, and personal responsibility
