Designated Purchasing System (DPS)
The DPS is managed by an independent third party called Quadrem TradeWorld contracted by the Province.
Suppliers may subscribe to the Sourcelink Electronic Purchasing System (at a cost) to receive notifications of all
advertisements placed on the DPS by Departments.

Suppliers may register on the Western Cape Supplier Database (WCSD) at no cost. Each time Departments
advertise on the DPS, it may link suppliers from the database to receive a notification of the advert.
* Please note:
- Suppliers registered on the WCSD will only receive notification of advertisements placed on the DPS when
linked by Departments;
- When subscribing to the Sourcelink Electronic Purchasing System you are automatically registered on the WCSD;
and
- Registering on the WCSD or the Sourcelink Electronic Purchasing System does not guarantee business with the
Provincial Government.
