Western Cape Social Capital Network (Department of Social Development, Provincial Government of the Western Cape)
SUMMARY
Social Capital formation is one of the eight pillars of the Provincial Growth and Development strategy iKapa elihlumayo. Therefore social capital has to inform the work the Provincial Government as a whole.

The strategy itself was launched in October 2005 at UWC. But what does that imply for operations of each department? How does the strategy affect other strategies, programmes and projects? What is the government currently doing around social capital?

With the theme of the month in October we would like to give you some answers to those questions. Have a look at what the social cluster departments are doing on social capital.
