October is Social Development Month, and the Department of Social Development would like to use this opportunity to highlight programmes which the Department offers.

The Western Cape has a number of social problems which can only be solved if communities and government work together. Some of the more pressing issues include drug and alcohol abuse as well as teen pregnancies.

The Western Cape Government aims to foster a self-reliant society. Offering support structures to the poor and vulnerable members of society.
