The Ministry for Public Service and Administration invited all public servants, their families and friends to celebrate AFRICA PUBLIC SERVICE DAY at the SAPS College on 19 June 2004 in Pretoria. The programme included a fun run, cultural and musical events, exhibitions, a dog show, parachute jumps, helicopter shows and various children's activities. The Department of Community Safety and Cape Gateway exhibited at this event and, since early morning, there was a constant flow of visitors. It is clear that some of the projects are unique and worth marketing as best practices. The Minister of Public Service and Administration also visited the exhibition and stayed for almost 15 minutes.  >

Application for Temporary Operating Licence (Special Event - 2010)

Safe and reliable transport will be vital for a successful 2010 World Cup. To ensure that the transport industry benefits, taxi operators have the opportunity to apply for a temporary operating licence (special event - 2010). Guidelines for applying for an operating licence (OL): Operators who already hold an OL or permits for relevant routes or areas do not require the temporary OL and may operate within the authority of their normal OL or permit. Operators who hold an OL or permits for other routes or areas will have to apply for temporary OLs. Operators who do not hold an OL or permit for a vehicle and who want to operate the vehicle during the 2010 World Cup will have to apply for an OL following the normal application procedure. Applications should be made to the Provincial Licensing Board.  >
