The legislation amends the Road Transportation Act 1977 to provide for the appointment of a Provincial Taxi Registrar, minibus taxi permits to be granted on a route or network basis and taxi ranks and other facilities. The Act also sets out the conditions under which permits will be granted for minibus taxi services.
