Technology for Women in Business

The Technology for Women in Business Programme was created through a partnership between the Department of Trade and Industry (dti), the Department of Minerals and Energy and the CSIR in 1998 to help advance women in business. The emphasis of the programme is on the application of science and technology to achieve business growth in women-led enterprises, particularly small, medium and macro enterprises (SMMEs).
ACTIVITIES Activities of TWIB include:
TRAINING TWIB also offers training courses in particular fields. Currently the following courses are offered:
TWIB AWARDS TWIB also holds an annual awards ceremony to recognise and award women entrepreneurs who have successfully used appropriate technologies to improve the performance of their businesses. For details on the competition, visit the Technology for Women in Business website. |
