Applying for a Grant from the Food Security Programme (FSP)

The Food Security Program (FSP) aims to support only groups from the historically disadvantaged communities who want to start a garden. The programme will finance the project with a start-up fund to initiate a community garden and/or project.The Department of Agriculture will give financial assistance to 20 groups each year for the next three years to support the Food Security Drive. This programme wants to support especially women and youth groups. An amount of up to R50,000 is available for each project, and the project must adhere to the criteria and requirements detailed below. This is a grant, not a loan and the funding for successful applications need not be repaid. |
