Give Green Initiative - Project | 110% Green

110% Green is pleased to announce the start of the Give Green Initiative. The initiative is a key component of the Western Cape Government’s 2Wise2Waste Resource Efficiency Programme. As such it will support Western Cape based craft producers and show government’s commitment to green procurement and small enterprise development.

The Cape Craft & Design Institute (CCDI) has been appointed to provide an integrated management service for the procurement of green-related gifts and event/conference material that from a large number of small producers of handmade designs and crafted items in the Western Cape.

Although the Give Green contract has been signed with the Department of the Premier, 110% Green is making it available for all WCG Departments so as to encourage the procurement of environmentally friendly, sustainably and locally produced gifts.

What is the Give Green Contract?
The Give Green contract aims to make it easy to procure gifts and conference material by removing the red tape involved.

The CCDI has also developed a specific Give Green e-catalogue of all their environmentally friendly and sustainably produced corporate gifts and conference material. As the intermediary, the CCDI deals with the crafters to ensure quality produced gifts. A set of policies are also in place around the return and guarantee of products.
