As the South African industry body for recycling of post-consumer Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). PETCO commits to grow our membership base, increase PET recycling rates year on year and continue to support Recyclers, Collectors, Reclaimers and sustain collection. We also commit to sustaining various programmes including the subsidisation of recyclers that process the PET bottles into new end use products and initiatives and activities that do not necessarily increase the collection volumes of recycled PET, but contribute to the visible recycling of PET such as support of collection and recycling networks, awareness raising and consumer education, entrepreneurial training and skills development, clean ups etc. This in order to support the collection industry and contribute to the creation of sustainable livelihoods in SA.
